Couch to 5K Anyone want to start with me ?

Recommended Posts

Ok I'm a slacker :Dancing_biggrin:

I'm starting back up Saturday - this cold spell is supposed to lift some. I'm going to try a week 3 since I never actually did any. What happened to mild winters in Texas???!?!?!

Mindy - I hope you feel better soon!!!! Too funny on the story with your son and the contacts :wink2:

Whosya - you and musicalmomma look fabulous!!!! That's cool that you get to do that and hopefully inspire others to get healthy!

I agree--it definitely gets easier....like I said, you will be stunned as the days go by and you find that you actually CAN!

Congratulations, and Keep Going!

Well my 6 yr old has the FLU !!!! There is nothing more they can do for him other than what is being done now ! Antibiotics , Albuterol , Tylenol and motrin, I took him in because he was running 105.9 Fever !!!

His lungs are clear with pneomnia ( im not sure he ever had that i think he has had the flu this whole time ) so hopefully he will be better soon !

Okay, so I started week 4 last night......

IT WAS HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I, however, DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with everyone else as far as having difficulty getting past 4 minutes. I'm such a goodie-two-shoes, though, that I told myself I HAD to do what the man said, and I just kept running til he told me to stop. I swear to you, if it's not a little easier on Saturday when I do my second week 4 run, I just don't know what I'll do....

So, even though I already did it, I'm still scared, but am going to continue to just go with the flow. I refuse to quit until I just involuntary fall out---Biggest Loser style (they're always falling down on that show).

Good 4 you Stranger!!

I kept this wk doing the combo of wks 3/4. Haven't felt so hot, and my fill on Wed has kinda put me in my place. It's the first real restriction I've yet to have - and I felt a little weak this AM, not sure if its' the fill / lack of much to eat (can barely eat 1/4c of food per meal).

Going to try wk 4 w/out "cheating" :rolleyes2: tomorrow w/out being a wuss, fingers crossed!!!

Howdy all. Well, No running to report; the bug got me. I woke up all achy and such today. I plan on resting through the bug and get back on my feet in time to head to Austin next week. Hope everyone else is well!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
