Anyone from NYC/Westchester?

Recommended Posts

I know he has a few offices outside NYC but I didn't think White Plains was one of them...I can't find anything stating exactly where his offices are on Google. Anyone else have some enlightenment?

Do a forum search instead of a google search. Use the advance search link. It is ABOVE the google search on the upper right portion of the forum page.

You can enter his name and then highlight "doctors and hospitals" and results will come up.

I was banded by Dr. Fielding on 1/25/08. I have two family members (one the band and the other the bypass) both done by him. His office is nuts and ALWAYS busy, But the care is great and you are in great hands with him. I would go back to him in a NY minute. His office is on the 10th Floor at NYU Med center. ( 1st and 33rd or there abouts)

I really want to stay in Westchester, unfortunately...I need somewhere that's more accessible to me. I hate the thought of having to go to the city all the time for appointments

Dr. Fielding and Co. have satellite offices in Westchester County (White Plains).

Here's a link: Gastric Stapling, Lap Banding - Directions to the Center - New York University Surgical Weight Loss Program

I was banded by Dr. Kurian who is the newest additon to the NYU group. I have been nothing but impressed with the staff at NYU.

Good luck!!

Thank you for the link! I spoke with someone who used Dr. Weber and was very disappointed with his office and couldn't in good conscience recommend him for me. I haven't sent the appointment deposit money yet so I'm going to contact Dr. Fielding's office and see what I can do.

Thank you!

I think you're on the right track now. I'm glad I referred you over to the NY banders group and suggested Dr. Fielding's group. I've read so many good things on the forum about him.

And how lucky for you they have an office near you!

Hi, nice to hear from fellow Westchester Residents. I live in Yorktown and am now in the process of trying to get approval to have Dr Fielding do my surgery. I will be going for the psy evaluation in two weeks. I'd love to hear more about your experiences! Thanks!

ChikFlik: I was banded by Dr. Kurian just 3 days after you! Don't you just love her?!

Its nice to see so many of us here. I'm a little confused on the process and hoping for some guidance on the NYU staff as wll. I'm not sure which dr to use and I'm lost as to the next steps to expect.

I've been to the seminar, have an appointment with my general practitioner to get a referral letter and have the appointment with the psychologist next week. Provided that he approves me I'm not sure what happens next. Is there a bunch of tests I need to have done? I see alot of talk about pre-op liquid diets here but don't remember hearing anything about it at the seminar.

I'm a self pay - if that helps?

Thanks!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
