Congratulations and please let us know how you went on, I had my fingers crossed for you

You have such a wonderful journey in store for you. It’s not really even about the number on that scale. It’s the little things, and the big accomplishments. You will see it will be one non scale victory after another and you will find yourself doing things you may have never been able to try or didn’t think you would ever do again. Just stay the course my friend. You will not be sorry.

I'm 7 months post-op, 80 lbs. lighter and now know without a doubt that having a gastric bypass was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Yes, some days are discouraging. Sometimes there are complications, like the tiny stomach ulcer that developed a couple months ago (treated with meds and now healed). But oh, such sweet victories -- like stepping on the scale and watching that number go steadily downhill. Or having to get new clothes because nothing fits anymore. Or receiving the blood work results where you learn that your A1c is now out of diabetic range, or you can drop meds for blood pressure and cholesterol control -- or just when you wake up one morning and realize how much better you feel!

Fight the good fight, friends. It is so, so worth it!
