How many CC's in your Inamed 10cc band?

Recommended Posts

I have the 10cc ap band. I have had 3 fills for a total of 6cc in my band. My first fill was 1 month after surgery. The others have each been 2 weeks apart. I hope to get another fill next week. I have some restriction, but not where I want to be.

Thank goodness I found this thread! I was starting to think things weren't working right! I know my signature said "I love my fill" because "pounds are falling off," BUT....

I don't know if it's my "time of the month" or the holidays or what, but I seemed to have gone back up to 215 (where I've been for the LONGEST now) from 209, where I was right after my fill on 12/14.

I got 3cc in my 10cc AP regular band and I feel NOTHING! I, unlike some of the others on here, AM SO HUNGRY! I can eat whatever and however much I want. I am limiting myself in comparison to what I ate "BEFORE", but it's still TOO MUCH. My next fill is scheduled already for 1/18, but I think I'm going to call this afternoon and try to move it to 1/11.

I want to start knowing/seeing/feeling what it's like to ACTUALLY be banded!

Hi everyone,

I have 4 cc's so far in my 10cc band. I have pretty good restriction so far with that amount, although I still feel like I can eat more than what I would like to be able to eat. I have lost almost 28lbs so far. My surgery was 9/25/07. I know that I can defintely not eat as much as before and that is a great feeling. This is also a lifestyle change as well as a weightloss plan for living. Any progress is a change in the right direction, and believe me I have to remind myself of that fact quite alot. My second appointment did not result in a fill and my next appt is 1/02/08 so we'll see what happens. Keep up the good work everybody.

Hi, I have had three fills so far the first one was 1 cc the second was 2 3/4 cc and the third one was 1.5 cc and that third one did it for me. I feel very ristricted and Ic an tell from just the liquids that I have been trying to get down all day this is a lot different from the other fills. My band is a normal sized band not the large ones you read about. I had to ask that one today. I was banded in September of 2007 and I ahve lost 70 pounds and still going down slowly but sure. I do a lot of exercises and walking and well my hubby bought me a pair of running shoes for Christmas because I used to be a runner and I am starting to run again. I am down let me count 4 pants sizes and which means no more plus sized clothing for me. I would like to lose another 55 pounds or to get into a size 12 which ever comes first that is. I don't want to be a skinny mini not at pushing 55 years of age.

could be salt intake did you eat ham by chance that does it for me all the time. I drink so much Water after I eat certain foods that the Water flushes the excess weight right off. I watch what I eat and how much I eat and I exercise like a fiend go and get that thing called the Bean Walmart sells it for under 50.00 and it holds up to 400 pounds of body weight and is loaded with tons of exercises and well it does work and again it is a tool just like the band for the rest is up to the person. I weighed in at 279 pounds and I am now at 209, my normal weight should be 141 pounds for my build and height so I am not too far from my goal and I ahd surgery on September 10, 2007 so if I can do this so can you, please do not give up it will happen. Walk, run do what ever it takes. I park my truck in another lot when shopping and walk to the store that I actually want to go into in place of driving to it and finding the closest parking space. Good luck gal.

PS I am from the Killeen, Texas area so howdy partner

I'm at 6 ccs in my 10 cc band. I am getting closer but still can eat what I consider too much...1 cup or maybe more. To be really precise, I can eat 8 McD's chicken nuggets and be completely filled up and burping. If I'm not careful, I get stuck on those if I eat too quickly. I don't go anywhere without my little can of pineapple juice. That has saved me about six times. I've yet to officially PB. I think I need about 1 cc more to get to my spot...at least I hope so. I'm scheduled for 1/3/08 for my third fill. I am also playing around with 3 pounds up and down. I've got two more to go to get to Onederland.

Take care all.

Kandi,

I am right there with you, except I have further to go to get to wonderland. I am also at 6cc in my band and can still eat too much. I do have to be careful though as to not get stuck. I also go for my next fill on 1/3/08. I am really hoping that I will find good restriction at 7cc. Keep us posted on how your next fill works for you.

8 McNuggets? Holy moly. I just ate a Wendy's Single with cheese AND small fries. I have yet to get stuck, PB, or feel like I'm even getting close. I feel "full" right now after my FULL MEAL from Wendy's....something tells me I'm a ways off from my sweet spot.

I WAS able to successfully move my next fill up to 1/11, so that's good.

Another question I have: what has been ya'lls experience with carbonated beverages? I have been avoiding them all together for almost 2 months now, but have taken sips here and there just to see what it feels like. Now, I'm sitting here sipping on a diet coke and it feels just fine....what's up with that?

I've had some beer with no problem at the time and no after-effects. There seems to be some disagreement about whether it stretches the pouch. Frankly, it doesn't make sense to me, unless the opening to the stomach plugged up but maybe there's something I'm missing.

I don't know if it's true or not, but that is one change that I have been able to make so far. I know that I don't need the carbonation.

Me, too! Regardless of the effect on the band, there are a lot of good reasons not to drink soda, diet or otherwise!

I'm at around 7cc's and I'm still not as tight as I think I should be. I can certainly eat a lot less than before but I think it's still too much, especially at night when I'm a lot looser.

I did get up to 8cc's and that was too tight (couldn't swallow my own saliva). My next fill should be around .3 or .5cc.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
