Upcoming surgery in April

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty sure most of us were a combination of excited and nervous! LOL It is an exciting time, waiting for surgery, but it is also a bit nerve wrecking because, well, you are waiting for surgery! And you are waiting for this big new change in your life... Good change usually makes me both excited and nervous!

Excited and nervous pretty much sums up my mental state from last July when I started the surgical program to last week when I finally got the surgery!

Yes, same! I also have my surgery scheduled for 04/09/24. I am so ready though. There is just no backing out of this for me. I need this badly.

I have my surgery on 4/2 & when anyone asks me, that is exactly how I describe my feelings!! I am nervous for the gas pains afterward, I know!! So excited to renew myself and start this journey :) Good Luck!!

I had surgery last week and those were definitely my feelings lol. Honestly, I’m still excited and nervous—excited at the changes to come but also nervous that somehow I’ll let myself down. Grateful for my support system. Just taking it one day at a time. Good luck to y’all!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
