After you loose a considerable amount of weight you really should have another sleep study. I lost 70 lbs & still have to use one! I’ve been using one for 18 years 🤦‍♀️

I'm down 60 lbs and am still having apnea events according to my machine. Once I get to goal, I may look into another sleep study.

Oh lord. I find it more difficult to sleep with it on now for some reason. I can’t stand it now. Before the surgery I was in love with it. Lol

Makes sense. I will just have to be patient of course. Thanks friends ❤️

I underwent a sleep study as a requirement of this process and as a result have now been using an APAP machine for the past month. A friend of mine had his surgery two years ago and while he no longer physically needs to use his machine having lost 175lbs, he told me he loves sleeping with it and continues to use it.

I am 7 months post op and I'm still using my cpap. I have to do another sleep Study in October before my pulmonologist makes that call. I am already down 70 pounds. But I will wait and see what the doc says.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
