July 2023 buddies

  • Popular Post

Hi! Anyone else scheduled for surgery in July of 2023? Let's talk!

How are you? How's your process going? What are you excited about for the future? What are you enjoying now? How are you talking about the upcoming surgery with family and friends? What supports have been helpful to you?

Good evening, I’m having my surgery July 14, 2023 and I’m super excited but yet a little nervous also.

Welcome.

I think you are expressing how most if not all of us are feeling.

@NYCxCoco great to hear and how the next few days, weeks and months are great for you.

I'm in the hospital now.

If all goes to plan I'm first on the list tomorrow. Only downside, so far, is that I requested a private room (as my private health insurance covers it) but none available so I'm sharing with a lady who speaks no English and I don't speak whatever her Eastern European language is so sign language and broken French it will have to be.

My languages are appalling, it's Portuguese, but still no use as don't know it either ?

Glad to hear so many of you out of the surgery doing good.

Happy July 4th to the United States peeps.

Got to admit...Im super nervous today...Hoping I don't have to many gas pains...and how come they are not giving you guys enough meds! lol

Hi! My surgery is July 24 and I’m so anxious every time I think about it I feel like my heart is going to pounce out of my chest. My pre op appointment is July 12.
I’m a transplant (from Ohio) to the Nashville TN area.
Look forward to connecting and learning.
Happy 4th!

I just had my RNY gastric bypass on June 29th. Most days I have felt great. Today, at 5 days, I have been experiencing severe pain in my left shoulder. I was told these pains were from the gasses put in my body for the surgery. I was planning to stay off the scale for the most part. However, I weighed myself today. I haven't lost anything! I have followed the full fluid plan that I was given. It scares me to see no huge loss!
