Hi Mag - no, personally I didn't. Are you craving it hun? Maybe looking for a substitute for the food perhaps? xx

I’ve had a cigarette or two trying to keep it to a minimum I was a big smoker before I quit for a month before but now it’s not as easy especially with the pain killers if that makes sense … thank you for not judging it means the world!

Hello! I haven’t been on here for a few days, I went back to work and everything was good. Then Tuesday night I had some sharp stabbing pain in my side. Woke up took my multi Vitamin and about threw up and then had blood in my poo. I called the doc and got seen. Turns out those Multi Vitamins need to be taken with something coating your stomach, I have a kidney stone and a hemorrhoid. People, people. Take the stool softeners, drink your Water. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Other than that I’ve been good. I’m no longer crying when I make the family’s food, (I might still lick their food😏). I haven’t had a moment to catch up on everyone’s messages but I hope y’all alright!
stay hydrated friends

Glad you’re good! Blessings

So I had my surgery on Monday (3 days ago) and I have like no real pain. I totally had planned for this to be worse. Im sure it is different for everyone but have other people felt this way? Like right now i can pretty much do everything I did before the surgery. Im intentionally not lifting anything over 10 pounds but outside of that im still cleaning house and walking miles every day. Yesterday I did it twice. Anyone else have this happen?

Not me. I’m hobbling, but I’m 69 years old. Lol

Hi everyone thank you for checking on me! It means and has meant the world to me! How is everyone feeling! Question and I know a lot of people might judge so please only non judgmental answers … did anyone start smoking or vaping right after surgery?

Not me, I’m a non-smoker

I was a smoker but have not smoked for years. I do remember enjoying it - really took the edge off of stressful situations sometimes. Be careful Maggie honey - I know just how addictive they can be but they can interfere with your recovery. You gave up once - you can do it again. Just one day at a time sweetie xx

Yes I went for post-op today and from last Wednesday til today, I have lost 16 pounds. But they are going to do a Barrium Swallow test to rule out leaking bc I’ve been having a high Heart Rate. We shall see. Heart rate like 115 and 121.

I had that while in the hospital. I had them review all of my old visits because I always have a heart rate over 100. Mine was 115 after the surgery and the lowest it got was like 105. Hope it goes well for you.

I’m diabetic too! I haven’t stopped all diabetes shots but it isn’t as many. I guess my body is adjusting. BS this morning was 159–I had to give an insulin shot. It will work out eventually. Just want you to know It will take time. But I’m hopeful it goes away. That’s why I did it too! Good luck. It will go by fast!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
