Two weeks since surgery! (And my easy crying lol)

Recommended Posts

My two week anniversary today (lost 10.4 kilos since my bypass, 22.93 pounds) and generally had good progression over the time.

I’m shocked by how little I need to eat so far in purée section but presume this increases over time.

Biggest shock is how easily I cry over emotional or sad things. Cried seeing someone who I thought might be homeless yesterday. Not that I was emotionless before but gee, this has been a ride lol

I have had moments of regret and realisation of what I paid to have done to me. I doubt these will
Continue past a point but my mind has been my biggest enemy, the rest, so far, has been good.

I had "buyer's remorse" the first couple of weeks. It's common - and people usually get over that pretty quickly.

a lot of women notice crazy hormones the first few weeks or months of surgery (weird menstrual cycles and emotions all over the place). It's because estrogen is stored in fat cells, and it's released during rapid weight loss. It'll stabilize once your weight loss slows down.

The kick to the hormones after this major surgery is a massive factor in contributing to your emotional flux. Also dont forget that the anesthetic will also be playing merry havoc. It will be okay. 😊

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
