Incision site bleeding

Recommended Posts

Ok I'm one post op and I just noticed one of my incisions is bleeding just a tiny little bit. It looked different from the rest. So I touched it with a tissue and there was a tiny bit of blood. Should I be concerned. I have a follow up this week on Thursday. I just didn't want to call the dr and be a worry wart.

Is it pure blood? They tend to leak a little but it is clear, but the bandage will have dry blood and the mixture of the clear liquid and the dry blood will make it look a little pink.

I do not have bandages or strips over my incisions. They used that glue that's all. It is just blood and I do mean just a tiny bit.

It is probably fine if just a drop or 2, especially if you are headed for a check up in 2 days.

There is always 1 or 2 incisions that they move around the most in and take longer to heal, bruise up etc. That is probably one of them.

Just my opinion based on my experience, I am not a DR or nurse!

Ok thank. I was thinking the same thing. But I want to ask here first.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
