Hello! I'm scheduled and ready to go in a couple of months to Tijuana! This is so out of my comfort zone! Anyone either gone, or will be going? Please share the good, the bad, and the ugly if there is any.

Hi!!!

Congrats on taking the first steps.

(From my experience)

Good - and others

Well organized staff and doctors

Felt very taken care of from all areas start to finish.

Best thing I did — in order you gain control over food and my health

Also: Know it’s a tool. You will have ups and downs.

Some not fun and interesting things I did not think about

Gas

Drain tube taken out - after it was a relief !!!

heart burn

Seeing how much others can and will eat - for me knowing that’s how I was

People will ask you when you do go out:

are you not hungry?

Waitstaff- everything ok with your food ?

certain ppl in your life might get jealous

At the end of the day remember this is about your personal goal and health path. You don’t have to explain anything you don’t want.

hope that helps

Tami

Hi. I’m scheduled for the sleeve in TJ on 05/09. I’m a bit anxious about the possibility of complications but I’ve been telling myself for 25 years that I could do it alone. I intentionally scheduled my date a few months out so I can get mentally prepared for the required lifestyle changes and to read as much as I can about the process.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
