Hi...lack of support? Dr. Kuri?

Recommended Posts

Hi...

I am 37. My BMI is 39 and I'm so tired of being fat! I want to be banded but don't have the support of my family. I've been considering going to Dr. Kuri in Mexico. My family thinks I'm crazy to go to Tijuana to do this. But I don't have a lot of money and have heard really good things about Dr. Kuri. I do have one friend who is willing to go with me (he doesn't want me to do it but would rather I didn't go alone). So, I'd like to know if anyone here has gone without the support of family and came out of it ok? And how did they react after they found out you had gone? Also, does anyone here know Dr. Kuri and was banded by him? How was your experience?

Thank you, Jenny

I was one of the ones who had no support but dicided to do it because only I knew deep inside that this was hope for me to change my life for me and not anyone else. On the morning that I was leaving my husband, mother and sister all tried to convince me not to do it and yet I went with a positive attitude that everything would turn out right and let me tell you its the best thing that could of happen to me. Dr. Kuri is a great doctor I have not regrets, don't let anyone make you change your mind because you are the only who knows what is best for you!!

Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
