Stomach noises

Recommended Posts

I am about 2 months post-op and my stomach is very "loud" sometimes. I'm not sure what causes it, but I think its pretty common. I've read that it gets better with time. I've noticed that it gets worse when I've gone too long between meals or if I eat/drink too fast.

Stomach or intestine rumbling is not a sign of hunger. It's merely food slowly moving through your system. Don't use it as a cue to eat.

My stomach makes weird noises when it's trying to digest. I thought it was hunger—it felt like my stomach was being rubbed against itself—but it's not, it's just my stomach making weird noises.

Bubble gut (aka roid gut, HGH gut) is a different thing altogether. Unless you're injecting a bunch of so-called "research chemicals" into yourself, you don't have bubble gut.

Actually, I was just talking to my surgeon’s colleague this morning about the noisy poltergeist I have in my tummy. She laughed & said it’s a very common side effect but some are noisier than others. It’s caused by our body digesting & absorbing nutrients so it’s a good sign your body is doing what it’s supposed to be doing. She also said you can often see the ripples going across your abdomen as the digested food is passing through our digestive system. Guess what I’m going to do when it happens again 😆.

As @Sunnyway said it is not a sign you are hungry & should eat.

One year out and still a constant party in my guts.

My tummy puts on quite the symphony when I'm eating and for a short time after. I'm constantly asking my husband and/or kids "did you hear that?" They usually don't hear it - usually.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
