Cramping with almost every sip!

I have a question - on the subject of taking small sips and eating slow and smaller bites - I was told to get a kids soppy cup and use a baby spoon to control portion size. Has anyone done this and if so does it help?

My wife uses a tiny spoon made for bariatric patients, they come in a set on Amazon - Mindful Eating Portion Control Flatware - for weight loss bariatric diet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B1JRZYV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_GA1ABFHC2W238H3MTQ22?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1.

I would not recommend a sippy cup, it will cause you to swallow gas and cause awful cramps. We have found using a regular water bottle and just taking tiny sips is the way to go.

I just used teaspoons & then buffet forks. Still use an entree fork (not dinner size) & I almost always still dice my meat before sitting down to eat.

I’ve never liked sippy cups. It’s a personal thing (I’m not a toddler). I used a straw which is controversial with some surgeons. And I much prefer drinking from a glass than a bottle - easier to sip from.

Thank you! I only drink from glass now as well so that concerned me I don’t use straws so I’ll just have to be careful. Love the buffet fork idea! Thanks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
