It varies if you read enough of these posts. One lady had 12hours fasting. Lots have1 or 2 weeks. Mine is 3 weeks of 3 pints of milk, two veg meals and 2 pieces of fruit . I can also have coffee. One person, I read had 4 weeks of slim fast only. Every doctor has their own 'recipe' Please let me know how you get on

Yes, they do all seem to be different. I can have protein shakes and a salad with 4 oz of protein for dinner and any veggies for the week.

Hello, I’m having surgery with Dr Minkin in St. Louis on November 11. I’m ready for everything physical that comes with surgery but I’m still mentally working through food addiction issues with a therapist. I’m so excited for the future athletic/sport benefits to be had!

Best of luck to everyone!

Had our final preop appointment today. Our preop diet starts October 29th with only 4 protein shakes per day and water or gaterade zero to drink. GOing to be a LONG 10 days!

November 9th here! So excited. Starting my pre-op diet tomorrow, and so nervous about hunger.

Me too. I’m going to go ahead and start my pre op diet today. Good luck!

You too! Let me know how your first couple of days go.

My surgery is Friday, November 5th and yes I’m nervous too. Having conversion from band to bypass. Any experts who can share tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to be part of this group! My pre-op appointment is on 3 Nov 21 and I am praying surgery is booked for 2 weeks after.
