Help- major hair loss

I just talked to my doctor on last Wednesday... and he said it happens with rapid weight loss and not enough Protein. So- he told me to start taking the Vitamin Biotin and add an extra Protein Shake each day. May hair fall has decreased I am happy to say in such a short period of time. I truly think the Biotin is what's doing it. Try that!

what's Biotin, and where can I get a Protein Drink that has 24 ? Mine (optifast) only has 14.

if you buy the Protein mix called (whey) i think that has at least 21 grams of protein

Slim fast low carb has 20 grams of Protein. A lot of people really like Matrix or Ungury. You have to buy it online.

I have major hair loss too, and I have been taking Biotin since I had the surgery. A lot of people on here have, and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do to stop it. It stops when it wants to. Keep upping your Protein though, because it sure can't hurt.

I got all my stuff at Vitamin Shoppe. I think you can get Biotin anywhere that sells Vitamins. I drink Syntrax Nector Roadside Lemonade. It's a whey Protein isolate. It's 24 grams of protein and only 90 calories. I love it.

get to the doc!!! and add zinc to your daily intake. I experienced the same problem with Atkins, lots of Hair loss, it is a sign of malnourishment, really!!

its not just WLS patients who lose their hair. close friend of my was seriously ill and hospitalized for two weeks. at around 4 months her hair started to fall out and got remarkedly thin. she was told different things by different specialists but I think it was due to poor nutrition while she was so ill

? by the time it falls out isnt already too late?
