Hey all you folks banded in the last week. I felt kind of crummy the first week. Sore, gas pain, shoulder pain, tiredness. But I am at the end of week 2 and feel really good. So, keep your chins up, you can make it. I am still on the liquid diet for another week. It was difficult to have soup while everyone else was eating and drinking on Christmas, but I made it. I thank God for the strength. Anyway, it is all worth it. When I look at the other people on this site who have been banded for a while and are doing so well, and look so good, I know I made the right decision. Good Luck to all.

Shoegirlia - good luck with your surgery! My doctor didn't formally restrict my food prior to surgery. He wanted me to eat healthy to make sure my liver did not expand. I am on liquid post-op for three weeks.

Congratulations - You look fantastic. Wow size 8!! that is incredible.

ChrisAnn - I see a Mets bag in the picture. Are you a fan? I am a big Mets fan. I live in New Jersey. Are you in the NYC metro area?

Hey KingJes - I got banded on 12-12 too. I have lost 20 pounds already on the liquid diet. I can't believe it. I know that pace won't continue when I go back to solid foods. Good luck to you. I can't wait to see all the "after" pictures for everyone banded in December.

Hi - I am having surgery at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. My insurance, Aetna is paying! Thank God or I would not be able to afford it. Where are you in New Jersey? I live in Budd Lake.
