At 2/3 weeks post opp how many oz of food can
you hold??

Why do people do a switch? Is it because the sleeve didn’t workout for some or what?

I feel like I need a switch, I ate 2oz of oatmeal with no issue I feel worried my sleeve is broke or something 😩 #rant

You’re still healing. A lot of nerve endings were affected during surgery & they need time to heal too.

The more liquid a food the less likely you’ll feel any sense of fullness as liquids pass through your digestive system more quickly. So it’s not until you get to soft foods or solid foods that you start to feel full.

I ate about 1/4 -1/3 cup depending upon what I was eating. I was given serving sizes not calories or weights to follow. Took 3 days to eat a serve of rolled oats & the same to eat 2 scrambled eggs. Of course I could have a lot more if it was a liquid or Soup but always ate/drank over a long time. In saying that, we’re all different & there are lots of different plans out there. As long as you’re not experiencing any discomfort & following your plan, you’ll be ok.

Congrats on your surgery.

you'll likely start feeling the restriction once you move to solid foods. I didn't feel it at first, either. Like Arabesque said, it takes some time for the nerves to regenerate, and also, you're not on solid foods yet.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
