Abnormal EKG, septal infarct

Im currently in my last stages of pre-op workups and have had two abnormal EKGs come back this month. They both have said septal infarct. I am seeing a cardiologist hoping to get cleared for surgery on the 7th...and I know what google says, but has anyone else had this come up and still get surgery as planned? I was looking at an end of Jan first week of Feb surgery date.

Oh you're so young to have that. Wishing you the best and hopefully your surgery will still go as planned.

The Cardiologist will probably want to get an echocardiogram, to determine if there is any damage to the heart muscle and how well your heart is doing at pumping blood. I don’t know your age, but by your picture you do look very young to have this show up. The Cardiologist will probably also be looking for any underlying heart conditions, which may have caused an infarct.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you! 💕

I also had an abnormal EKG and stress test. So I got an echo and 2 nuclear scans which still showed an abnormality. So I got the gold standard - a cardiac cath which showed all my coronary arteries to be free and clear!!!!!!! Onward to surgery! EKGs are notoriously inaccurate in their internal interpretation of the wave forms. The cardiologist will do the right thing, get more tests, and hopefully you will also be on to surgery soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
