My dr told me to walk it out, that was the best for it.

Yep, walk, walk, walk. Frequent, short walks around your house are fine if you’re not up to walking your block yet. And GasX.

Congrats on your surgery.

You just have to walk it off/out.

I am only a couple weeks into this so I am by not much of a specialist but I worked as a LPN for 12 years and I can tell you what that experience taught me.....walk walk walk walk and move move move. The more you move and the more walking you do the more you move and absorb that gas and the less pain you have. After surgery it may be uncomfortable but the best thing you can do is when you get up is stand up and straighten up and walk. The first time it will hurt, the second time it will be uncomfortable and then it gets easier but it will make your recovery time so much shorter and less painful in the long run. I just want to walk up to people and give them a talking to when I see them walk in the hall way all scrunched up after surgery and have a heart to heart with them about the importance of walking out that gas with good posture but it obviously isn't my place ....lol

if your shoulders are sore and you feel the pressure under your breast or in your shoulder blades, lift up your arms and stretch them out as best you can and take deep breaths. The human body is an amazing thing and will absorb a lot of that gas and work out a great deal more if you give it the opportunity to. By day three or four you really don't have to worry about ripping out anything internal, just lift up your arms slowly and take deep breaths by the end of the day they will work themselves out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
