I am finally feeling like myself again. I was expecting to recover much quicker than I did. My revision surgery was done 9.17.20 and I was so uncomfortable and in pain. Now I can sleep on my side (with pillows, I'm a belly sleeper and this is a struggle lol), the Omerparzole has helped so far with GERD, and I can stand and walk for longer periods. I have been doing good on staying hydrated and continue to work on my eating habits and meeting my Protein goal (120g). The Premier Protein Water taste like chalky cough Syrup, as I thought this would be a hack to meet my goal and the unflavored powders do have flavor if that makes sense lol. I can finally bend down and tie my shoes (but it has to be quick lol). The weight loss is slower this time around as we all know with revision but my main focus is my eating habits, exercise, and mental health.

Congratulations on your surgery.

I don't have much to add. Your post makes it clear you know what to do and are focused on doing it. You know what to expect.

Apparently you're not focused on weight, so I can't even do my "The scale is evil, get rid of it" thing.

My RNY was open and not easy so it took a good month before I felt anywhere near not horrible. So I know how you feel. As you see, it is getting better..

Good luck,

Tek

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
