Any October Sleevers?

@Bwa, congrats! My surgery is scheduled for 10/27. I totally get where you're coming from! I've started doing what I call a "Brain Dump" in my journal. Sometimes the thoughts come so fast and furious its overwhelming. So I just write them as they come. Its not meant to be a coherent entry but a way to get what's swirling around in my head out and onto paper where I can see it. Sometimes I see things I need or want to do and other times its just ramblings of a mad woman. But it helps. At least it helps me. Maybe give it a go!

What a great idea! Thank you for the suggestion.

Mine is on Wednesday 10/21. Pre-op diet has made me feel sick most of the time & made gerd feelings worse. I have fallen off of it a little a few times but I’ve lost almost 20lbs in 11 days. I’m scared my liver won’t be shrunk enough. Also, Tuesday I have to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate. Hopefully that won’t make me puke. I’m extremely nervous and can’t sleep. Stomach aches all the time. I’m constantly hungry. Questioning a lot right now. I do love this group and I thank you for sharing your stories.

I had mine October 2nd! I'm supposed to stay on Protein Drinks, Jello and yogurt until 3 weeks post op, but I was so tired of them that yesterday I had 1/4 cup of grits and today I am having horrible nausea and heartburn, which I haven't had since the surgery. Now I'm worried i damaged my staples.

I feel pretty good. Not much stomach pain, my back hurts more than my stomach. Sometimes Water feels like it's getting stuck in my chest but it goes way. Burping hurts sometimes too. But all in all I feel great, just sore

Burping finally feels pretty normal now, 3 weeks post op today. Hope you are doing good!

Just had mine done and thought I would join the party as it's nice to speak to like minded people! The post-op diet is a bit different here - I would kill for a sugar free popsicle right now! Am able to sleep on my side as of last night (first night home). Need to walk around the house a bit today; partner says I am much happier after 12 hours sleep!

Good luck, October Club!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
