Hi all, anyone have Dr Marc Bessler do their surgery in the last few years? I’d love to know about your experience. Thanks!

There is also a "Weight Loss Surgeons and Hospitals" forum that you might try asking this question on. I found info on the hospital I was using there even when a search of all boards didn't come up with good results.

hey I know Marc bessler. He is chilled and straight to the point. I think they should offer more support to their patients. Its a good choice, as you are in good hands with him. I had a procedure done with him. I did go there for my consultation to my revision. However, my gut just said naaaaah, go to Lenox Hill. As mentioned, great doctor! I just don't like the vibe of the office staff, but that's petty lol. Trust your gut and ask him and his NP lots of questions.

I had my surgery with Dr. Bessler in 2018. While he is chilled and straightforward as the other poster mentioned, he is extremely knowledgeable and responsive. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Everything from pre-op to post- op went without a single complication. I had no trouble with the staff, they even kept me calm during the insurance waiting game. I highly recommend him. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

Why did you have a revision done? Just curious I wonder sometimes if I need to have one done. 17 years out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
