Weird question about fat pain pre-op

Recommended Posts

I don’t know where else to ask this.
for some reason out of no where I am having a pain in my abdominal fat. I never had this before and am wondering if anyone else ever had this. It’s not the “I can feel my fat growing” pain but like a dull uncomfortable pain in the muffin top area on the right side. It doesn’t feel like an organ or muscle pain but a literal pain in the fat.
i have not had surgery.
anyone ever experience this?

I'm not going to speculate what or where your pain originates except to say there are no nocioceptors (pain recepters) in subcutaneous fat.. period.

Ok well thanks I guess. I’m not looking for a diagnosis, just wondered if anyone else ever had that pain. I don’t really understand your response. So...

you said it "feels" like fat pain and not muscle or organ pain, I'm explaining that is not a thing. So...

But why are you being mean about it?

he/she didn't sound mean to me at all. They were just explaining that the pain wouldn't be coming from fat. You're reading too much into it. Which can sometimes happen when people communicate in writing (texts, emails, etc).

My guess is hunger pains combined with food detox. Many of the foodstuffs we eat are highly addictive. If you've removed these from your diet you may be detoxing. Just a guess.

Elvira, I have definitely had fat pain in my abdominal area. It seems to happen after I have done a lot of exercise, and it occurs below my navel.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
