I was afraid of this happening.

I was pretty bummed at first when I figured out my surgery wouldn't be until the end of the year, but now...I secretly think it is a blessing. Hopefully, by then we have this sorted out...

Yes, my surgical center sent me a notice about it in an email (I'm in Houston). I am glad I did mine in May - even though all my family and friends were against it & I had no support about it. 🙄 I was supposed to get it in April, but they postponed mine until May... I had a feeling things might shut down again.

Anyway now my family admits I was right to do it when I did. 😏

Sorry to anyone who has to wait longer.. Hopefully it won't last too much longer. 🙏

I am hopeful my state (Washington) doesn’t stop elective surgeries, ours was the first to have COVID in the country. My surgery is next week on July 7. Already been waiting more than 6 months and 1 week into my pre op diet.

Just holding on for 1 week 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Texas hasn't banned all elective surgeries again, right now it's just 8 counties (Bexar, Dallas, Harris, Travis, Cameron, Hidalgo, Nueces and Webb). My doctor is in Travis but the hospital is in Williamson, so I'm currently still in for July 23 (fingers crossed, I think). I do worry about getting COVID while I'm at the hospital though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
