Hi everyone! i'm brand new to this site. As of today, my vsg is officially booked for july 20!!!!! so nervous and excited. i have chosen not to tell many people aside from immediate family and one close friend. i'm not ashamed its just a private matter and i think its a big enough surgery and emotional/physcial roller coaster I don't want nay negative comments etc.

Surgery buddies! ❤️❤️❤️

@Phoenix20 I noticed you’re in chicago! Where are you having surgery?

I am having my surgery July 27th gastro sleeve. I am very nervous and worried and excited also. I hope I can do this and starting liquid diet.
You are the closest to my surgery date that I have seen!(: you can absolutely do it!

chunkarella make your own broth......they have bone broth with less sodium . they have envelops with low sodium as well. boil a chicken but it in the freezer add some herbs and there you go ....We got this !

Hello Everyone!

This is my first ever post. I am scheduled for vertical sleeve gastrectomy on July 23rd of this year. I start my pre op July 7th. I am paying most out of pocket so I have not been ordered to lose weight. I am however trying to eat better and exercise now to start building healthy routines. I am trying to get organized and prepared for everything by making some lists. What are you all doing to prepare?

Prtribe27 congrats I started a conversation about changes that need to rake place tobe successful.I think you will get some insight from this. We got this!

I'm set to go in for the sleeve on July 1- I'm super excited but also getting very anxious. Any tips you guys have for dealing with the pre op diet and the anxiety??

Ive been trying to be more active i have not started the preop diet because I dont have a date .But I have been trying cut back on calories intake. I do a new vegetabe of the week. this past week eggplant. House work helps with anxiety and being very active on this site.

28 days until surgery guys ? time feels slow but it’s really flying!

Yeah I’m very excited and really nervous all at the same time. This kinda feels like my first time going to Universal Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights ya know scary n exciting and nerve racking all at the same time. Lol

Such good news to hear. Hope my surgeon says the same thing! Hahaha

Welcome!

Well I started my pro op diet about 2 weeks early. Of course I am not a strict as I will be when they real pre op diet starts next week, but I have already lost about 5 pounds.

I found out Friday that my date is July 15. It feels like things just got real as I had to do 6 months with a nutritionist and I’ve kind of been putting it out of my mind. Now it’s real and a little scary and a lot exciting!

Your a day after me! How exciting! Its so close I can taste it! Hahaha

Started two week pre-op diet today. Shakes and 2-4 cups veggies from a list only. My well seasoned cucumbers were fabulous. Less excited about the shakes. It is only two weeks though. I can do this! ?

Wishing everyone’s time flys until all of our surgery dates!
