I had to have mine removed, but I remember how hard it was to get the fill "dialed in". And it could change day to day from being too full or barely enough. Ideally you should be able to drink Water, but feel full quickly on solid food. Good luck!

I tried to Get mine removed and they talked me out of it. The last time I filled it I could drink Water but didn't realize it was too tight until I tried to eat the next day And started throwing up no matter WHAT I ate🤯

Mine was eleven years old and even though I had no fill in mine and was still vomiting almost every time I ate. I could only get things like ice cream, pudding and yogurt through it. I went to a different surgeon (the one who did the band moved away about 5 years ago) and said it had to come out because eventually I wasn't even going to get Water through it. During the band removal and revision to a RNY they discovered that the band had slipped, and the slip caused a hiatal hernia. I had this done a bit over 4 months ago and weigh less than the lowest weight I ever got with the band. If your surgeon doesn't want to consider removing it, maybe you should consider finding another surgeon who will work with you before it gets worse.

I'm having the exact same problem at the moment 😢 In the mornings I can't even drink Water without being sick. My doctor won't see me because we are on lock down...this is the worst!

I currently have 3.5ccs in a 10cc band. I was up to 7ccs at one time but lost a little too much weight so we removed quite a bit and I’ve been sitting at the 3.5ccs for 2 yrs now. Minimal weight gain but mostly my own foolish eating habits. I’ve been banded for 12 yrs now with zero problems.

Well happy birthday weekend to me! Still at 285pds.. Started this journey 11 years ago at 275.. Gotta get back on track! Lots of death in my family and depression. I've tried intermittent fasting but doctor says my menopause is the problem no matter what I do! Junk food is my enemy! I wish I had known you can still eat whatever you like after being banded. I would never of done this. Any suggestions are welcomed.. Just turned 59 with a disability. Can't exercise much... Please help.. Should I just do Protein Shakes?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
