Pre op diet losers club member needing HELP

I’m 3 days into 14 day pre op diet and I’ve failed. Ate like he!! first 2 days and struggling today. So far I’ve had 1 shake, 1 protein drink, water, 3 slices of lunch ham and wonton soup minus the noodles. My question is.. how does the surgeon determine if your liver is too large? Do they examine you? I have 11 more days to go and I’m scared. I’ve already read through several posts regarding this subject. Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

Edited to add.. My original diet is no more than 6 shake daily, broth, sugar free jello and popsicles.

they can't determine your liver is too large until they get in there. If it's too big to do the surgery, they won't do the surgery. This pre-op diet is to help ensure that the liver will be small enough for them to do the surgery

most of us have been through that diet. It's hell, but it can be done. And it's the worst part of the whole ordeal. You'll just have to white knuckle it.

Is the ham and soups on your plan???

They were not. Today is more manageable. I hope it gets better as the days go by
