  1. You look great and I’m sure you feel it too!
  2. Yes, I'm cold all the time! I didn't think this would start until I lost a substantial amount of weight. I'm sitting here with two blankets and a shawl on and sleep with an electric blanket on at night.
  3. My surgery was on the 3rd also and like you, I haven't lost anything for several days. I've been tired and taken naps for the few days but otherwise feel ok. I'm think I'm tired simply because of the low calories (I'm still on full liquids only). Maybe this is just part of the healing process. It sounds like you're doing everything right. If you continue feeling run down or are concerned, I recommend to reach out to your care team. I hope you feel better soon!!
  4. I'm sorry he said that to you. He may be feeling a little insecure now that you've actually gone through with the procedure.
  5. Kristyle, thank you! I’m sure it seems like a no brainer and I know you’re right but I’m obsessing about it for some reason.
  6. I had my RNY on 3 March. I have little pain and can meet my water/protein goals just fine. My problem is I haven't moved my bowels yet and I'm beginning to worry. I'm taking Docusate and Miralax. How long does it normally take before the first poo after surgery?
  7. My surgery was 3/3 also. I've been able to meet my Protein and Water intake goals also. I've read that things change once we transition to regular foods in that we will be able to feel full.
  8. Congratulations! I'm on day three post-op and was wondering the same thing. I'm able to meet my protein and water intake goals. I've actually wondered if my surgeon performed the correct surgery (even checked my surgical notes to be sure). I've read that things change once we transition to regular foods in that we will be able to feel ful.
  9. Congratulations; you look great!!
  10. Are you measuring your portions and tracking your food/calories? A big problem for me is letting that go and not realizing my portions are slowly growing.
  11. My surgery went well and I'm resting at home. Honestly, I don't feel nearly as bad as I expected I would.
  12. Hcat, I'll post an update when I get home!
  13. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well! I hope I'll be able to drink water like you.
  14. I'm on day 13 of the pre-op diet and believe me it gets easier after around day five (still sucks though). Luckily, I'm allowed cream type soups so at least there's that. Hang in there and make your remaining days count!
  15. My RNY is scheduled for 3 March... Hang in there!
  16. I'm glad you're feeling better than expected! Best whishes for quick healing!!
  17. It sounds like you are not only self confident but are your own best advocate! Good for you!!
  18. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well! Congratulations!! You said your BMI is down to 24...you must feel great. Keep up the great work!
  19. My RNY is scheduled for March 3rd... ?
  20. Sending positive thoughts your way! Let us know how your doing post op!
  21. Coffee is listed on my pre-op diet but you should check with your dietician. It may be different based upon your medical history or surgion's preferance.
  22. Congratulations on quiting smoking and making it this far! Waiting is the hardest part! I've completed everything and have been approved. I'm just waiting for the scheduler to call...
