My surgery date is March 3rd for VSG. My pre-op is February 19th. I am so ready for this to happen. I'm so excited to have so many people having surgery at the same time as me!

I wish you good health and strength.Maybe get yourself a support buddy.I notices a few of the folks on this connection have buddies.I do know what you mean.I guess that is why we are all considering surgery as a method..the diets havent in the ling term worked.

Good luck.

What is everyone doing to mentally prepare? Even though I’m excited and I have no doubt I’m making the right decision, I’m having a lot of anxiety about it.
I totally understand I'm feeling the same way. I'm starting therapy, reading blogs, watching videos on what to take to the hospital. Basically just gorging on everything sleeve related[emoji1]!
March 2nd here! Having some mixed feelings. Ready to get it done but having a lot of doubt that I can be successful long term. Just so many failures at weight control in the past [emoji37]

You got this! Have a little faith and lean on us if you need to. I know I plan to! I

I'm here with you! I am getting mine done on Mar 5th, Im anxious too, but more so excited! Just think of all clothes you will have to get! Or the fact you will be healthier! You got this!

Hey Anxious_mumma,

I hope you are well. You will be just fine. I used to work on a Bariatric unit in the hospital as a nurse before I gained weight. It is such a routine and brief surgery. You have a higher risk of passing away from being overweight than from weight loss surgery. The best thing you can do for your daughter is be healthy and alive for her as long as you can. Show her that if you try really hard to do something (like losing weight) that you are not afraid to get help to make sure you reach your goals. Teach her how to love herself by loving yourself. That is what real love is.
