Blood pressure

Recommended Posts

I had surgery on 12/9/19. So 7 days out and I am experiencing higher than normal blood pressure. Never stopped my medicine. Anyone have this happen? I thought it would help lower it. I have an email into my doctor but they won’t open until tomorrow.

That has been my issue this year, my blood pressure being really high. Anyway, a few days after surgery it was still high and I figured it was because I was still experiencing pain from the surgery. Well I had a check up the third week after surgery and my BP was fine. Just give it some time and you should be ok.

Been on BP meds for a few years - Same here mine spiked right after surgery, Doc said it was due to the no food and body going thru hell -

Now mine is perfect )Had nothing to do with the 100 pounds i took off the ticker) Jk - I actually am moving to get off them now and seems i might be able to. I was told to monitor it regularly for the first 30 days -

Take it right when you get up that is the critical one showing the body at rest

I took myself off my meds 2 weeks before surgery and I've been around 120/80 since surgery without issue.

I'm sure your body is just adjusting to the trauma you just put it through and it will calm down in a couple of weeks.

It is amazing how much pain and stress on the body can raise your BP. I have been on BP meds for 4 years and after I came home I actually had issues with low BP (71/49). I called my Dr and she agreed to have me come off the meds right away. I haven't checked mine for awhile so I just did and it is 110/70. I am very sure that yours will come down as well.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
