Resistance bands anyone?? Help!?

Recommended Posts

Just curious if anybody has first hand experience with those resistance bands you can buy..?

I'm looking at a pack that has multiple bands all different resistance rating and you can hook them to your legs or feet or even under the door..

I don't get out the house much so looking for something that will help me without my core and my arms and belly area?

Do they actually work?

Do they actually make a difference?

Tell me your stories :)

Summer has just started here DOWN UNDER!

I've just hit the 100lb goal but still hoping to lose another 20+lbs by the end of summer!!

Need help toning under my arms mostly but generally need to gain some strength and muscle tone :)

Thank you.

Mike

Congrats on the 100 pounds lost! That's awesome! As far as bands go I have used some in physical therapy over the years, but not enough to firm up.

I have used them in the past. I liked switching back and forth between hand weights and resistance bands, I felt that gave me the better results. I will warn you, if one decides it has had enough and it is going to rip, it can hurt pretty bad. 🤣

I bought one ($10 from Kmart) which is rope like with handles and a door attachment thingy. (I like it better than the flat strip ones you wrap around your hands which I used to use at Yoga.)

I don’t like the whole gym thing so I thought I’d try the bands instead. They’re great for toning but i think if you want to build muscle weights are the way to go. I’ve noticed some toning in my biceps after a couple of weeks which is what I wanted. I just put together my own routine after watching a few you tube videos.
Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
