Will Peanut Butter get stuck in your pouch after rny? I know a stupid question I’ve been scared since surgery(March 20,2019) to try to eat it and just melted some and licked the spoon then dipped a part of a banana in it and ate it it was to sticky for my mouth so I decided to drizzle it on the banana but now I’m sitting here wondering if it’s even possible for peanut butter to get stuck in your pouch after surgery.

I've been eating it since my soft phase because I wanted something to chew (crunchy PB). No issues here ever. I literally have a teaspoon a day

Peanut Butter stays in your stomach longer it seems. It does not seem to digest as fast. I don't think you will have a problem with it, depending on when and what else you are eating.

If I come under my protien goal, I'll have some Peanut Butter just to add some more. It doesnt seem to bother me but I try to limit myself to 1 teaspoon since it has so many dang calories.

No. But some people have issues with nuts and nutbutters close out from surgery. Other's don't.

I personally couldn't handle the full fat kind until probably about 1 year out. Same thing with large volume of nuts/seeds. I still really have to keep it to 1/2-3/4oz of nuts/seeds to be super comfy. It would sit in my pouch like led and make me feel very nauseated. I think it's cuz of the fat content? But I had no issues using the vitacost Peanut Butter Slim Peanut Butter powder reconstituted or used in smoothies etc. Not nearly as good for sure, but it wouldn't stick around and make me feel like pukin'!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
