Three weeks tomorrow and will I ever NOT be nauseous!

Recommended Posts

I was nauseous first two weeks on liquid diet. I didn't puke but always felt like I could. At my two week check up, I reported it to the Dr who said it was common due to the Protein Drinks being harsh on stomach after surgery. He released me to soft food and it definitely helped. By the 4th week, I was no longer nauseous and havent been since. I'm 9 weeks post op and only have to drink 1 Protein Drink a day. I hope your nausea doesn't last long.

Did your doc prescribe muscle relaxants? Mine did for the whole first month. He said the trauma to the stomach often made it cramp and churn and the muscle relaxants helped it to heal.

Ha!!!! No, but my primary doctor mentioned it and I actually have on hand due to severe leg cramps I was plagued with prior to surgery!
That makes perfect sense.
Thank you for the reminder!!!

Try sniffing peppermint or sipping lukewarm mint tea. That may help a bit.

I hope this issue resolves soon.

Well, I'd check with the doc first to make sure it's ok. But it may help.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
