Not so easy to make friends here...

Hell errrrbody!

When I was banded in 2009 I was on this platform daily and making some pretty awesome friends, pretty fast. LOL

It seems this time around I'm a lonely painter living in a box of paints. (bonus points for who knows where I got that from?)

I am active, been chatting and looking and responding but it seems pretty quiet for me.

Maybe it's just me but I sure do like talking to folk about their experiences, fears, achievements, disappointments, etc.

I am being sleeved Dec. 9th, 2019 by Dr. Matthew Metz in Denver Colorado

Joanie Mitchell??? Good luck on your journey,,, But I guess this is more of a self help site than a social media site, In our new social climate its is best to keep it casual,,,, just my opinion on why the site has changed since the last time you were here

YOU WIN!

Yes I am a huge Joni Mitchell lover. Best female songwriter EVER.

And I am seeing, it is a lot different. I still have awesome friends from the first time around. Was hoping that would be the case this time as well. But I will still continue to post here and share my journey. You never know who it will help.

I'm new here. But I'm always open to new friends for support! Goodness knows this is a challenging process only others who had as well can appreciate!

I am 4 Weeks post op. Just started on full modified foods. So far everything has been going pretty good. In a stall currently down 21lbs beginning to learn my new normal. I had a really bad time with anesthesia and was kept in the hospital an additional day. I was suprised to still be hungry. They say that should pass once more solid food is introduced.

People tend to post a TON before surgery, a little bit after surgery, and then very rarely after that. It's just the nature of how this works I think. Good luck on your surgery!!

Well often you only hear from Squeaky Wheels, smooth- running. tends to be Quite Quiet- but ME? But ME, you'll hear from ME you'll hear from ME and My struggles until somebody beats ME with a Board to shut me up- WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED but 85-90% good, so the trade- off is tolerable and I will be still trucking🚚 a while longer upon this 🌎 Earth!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
