No call yet but the office warned me it could be up to 2 weeks. I’ll call back Monday if I don’t hear anything since I’m
Impatient 😊

@Quinnmedicinewoman52, my surgeon's office said it could take up to 14 days to hear back from my insurance company once all my prerequisites are complete. I still have my psych eval and endoscopy next week and then I'm done!

I’ve completed all of the prerequisites as well. Seems as if it has taken forever to get it all checked off (six month doctor supervised diet, cardiologist approval, pulmonologist approval, nephrologist approval, two appointments with nutritionist, 2 support group meetings, endoscopy). Needless to say the last 7 months has been a very busy. My surgeon submitted for approval of the surgery to the insurance last Friday (10/25/19). Hoping I get the approval and the surgery is scheduled for late this month or first part of December.

Congratulations to all of you with a date! Still waiting but keeping my fingers crossed. When I was there a week ago Friday they were still scheduling in November so I'm hopeful they'll have space in December (and hopefully early December).

For those of you who have shared a Dec date, I'm following you on the site so we can stay in touch through this journey. Go us :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
