Hi guys,

This is a touchy question that I've been wanting to ask but wasn't sure if it was totally appropriate, but damn the torpedeos and full speed ahead...

Assuming you live in a state where such usage is legal-have any of you partaken of certain "herbs" after your weight loss surgery? If so are you having issues with the munchies?

Has your surgeon made any recommendations since your surgery about usage? If you partake, does it help you at all?

Hi! If you search this topic on the message Boards there are some PRior threadS that I found really helpful when considering this question myself :) It seems that some people feel safely able to use ‘herbs’ after surgery.

I'm curious about how this affects the system, since alcohol gets you intoxicated quicker after the procedure. I'd like to be able to continue partaking, in lieu of empty calories...but if my desire for it is gone I will accept it.

I tried it for pain about 2 days post op and the resulting coughing fit deterred me from further use (ouch!!!).

i have partaken a handful of times since then and I find no difference in physical effects. Though surprisingly, I do not get the munchies anymore like I did pre-op (I was totally prepared to get them the first time after my unsuccessful pain-management attempt, so I had a giant bowl of salad prepared...ended up not needing it)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
