Daily Menus for Maintenance

  • Popular Post

A thread for Maintainers to share our daily menus!

(This thread is a spin-off from another thread I started that was open to all people at different stages. Meant to start this one specifically for Maintainers a while back, but am just now getting around to it ;) )

Same format applies: To help keep things in perspective for everyone, let's try to note our height & weight (or BMI), gender, weight-status & how far out we are post-op (unless this is already stated in your side profile :))

Post as little or as much info as you want. If you track macros, feel free to share your Protein, fat, & carb details...if all you feel like saying is you had a really yummy taco, that's cool too.

You might be surprised - one of the benefits is that it reduces cortisol so you don't feel hungry all the time. The first day is hard, but after that not really. Basically, you just skip breakfast

I didn't go on the scale past 3 days because I typically gain 2-3 lbs before my period, which is due in 3 days. It goes down after a few days. I decided I rather not see it.
I haven't been sleeping well this week and I didn't meal prep well, which led to me snacking and eating higher cals....

Finally got on the scale properly for first time PO.
Down 6 lbs since morning of surgery. And I think it is mostly muscle loss, so not really good news. Though I did have a massive poop last night so there is that. Anyway. On the bright side, we got a belated Xmas gift platter of nuts that we enjoyed while watching "Get Smart" starring Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway last night. That movie is funny ?

I'm a little late to diving into this thread. I'd like to try some of these meals but not all have the recipes listed. Also searched here on the BP site but didn't seem to find a good thread posting recipes. Maybe I just didn't look in the right place. Any thoughts on where to look, either on this site or maybe another site?

Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 111.9 lbs

----------------------------------------
Lunch was at a new fancy Japanese restaurant that recently opened near our place, and then later we went out to dinner with Mr. & friends
. I was really happy to be able to go out and about, after being stuck at home for the past 2.5 weeks (well, except for our annual 3-day xmas-party bender, but those parties were with famlly at various homes...so they don't count, LOL) Got nice and drunk at dinner and ate my fill of both regular and sugar-free desserts. My current low-ish weight sort of made me feel I had carte-blanche to eat whatever, but at the end of the day I didn't even rack up as much cals as I thought I would...may or may not not be a good thing....
----------------------------------------

11:00am - coffee-cayenne coffee w/ stevia + green tea

2:00pm - 1 cup seafood soup (broth w/ lobster, scallop, mushrooms, crab, clam) + 1/2 cup truffle edamame + 1/4 fillet tempura cod + 2 tbsp Takowasabi w/ 2 peices of seaweed snack wraps (Takowasabi: chopped raw octopus w/ wasabi sauce)

4:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + 3.5 oz grilled chicken + 1 Keto Flax ChocLin cookie

7:30pm to 12:00am

  • 1 cranberry martini w/ 2 maraschino cherries

  • 1 bite of baguette bread dipped in oil and balsamic (I logged it as 1 fl oz of bread, LOL)
  • 4 oz steak

  • 1 slice lemon cheesecake
  • 1 lemoncello
  • 1/2 sour apple martini
  • 1/2 lemonade & tequila
  • 1 tequila shot
  • 1 Lindt Lindor Hazelnut Truffle

1:00am - 4 oz steak (I ate the leftovers I planned to take home!)

  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese + blueberries + pumpkin seeds + cashews + almonds
  • 1 sugar free Reese's cup
  • 1 sugar free Russel Stover chocolate mint patty
  • 1 sugar free Russel Stover chocolate coconut snack

Oops, forgot to add the cheesecake macros to the original total. Updated total below (now the calorie counts sounds more realistic, lol)

Thanks @ms.sss! Also, I just now saw that there is a recipes section in the Baritastic app that's probably worth looking at.

Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 115.1 lbs

A couple of Mr's bros were over last night, and we had some serious late nite snacking going on including some VERY filling meatloaf. Went to bed with a relatively full stomach and this morning, I'm feeling so bloated it is NOT pleasant! I seriously feel like I'm still full from last night. Yuck.

Was hoping for visit from the poop fairy for some relief, but alas, no luck. I attempted to go for a a short walk this morning to maybe move things along, but the sidewalks are way to slick and icy, so had to turn back after a couple of minutes.

Taking the Kid to go see Little Women this afternoon and was totally looking forward to sharing a bag of movie popcorn with her (haven't had movie popcorn w/ butter since pre-op). If I don't empty my insides by then, she's gonna be on her own (with the popcorn, I mean, LOL).
