Hello everyone! I’m 7 months post op next week from a gastric sleeve. But this past week I haven’t been feeling really well. I’ve been having weak impulses of indulging. I don’t know what to do to control them, the worst part is that of course I’m not hungry, I do not have hunger, I’m just feeling anxious about eating and wanting to indulge. I’d really like if you had any tips or ways to calm down the anxiety and impulses to eat.

as a Vintage Bandster, I've had many opportunities to confront my own anxieties related to food.

I was initially very surprised to learn how much my own over eating was related to a whole raft of emotions. And even now, when I focus on what my trend to such 'sport eating' consists, often I find some nagging anxiety that was hiding from my Rational Brain. It's like being in training again.

When I discover failing into the recurring eating-without-hunger habit, I have to realign my eating behavior. Perhaps I should go get a little fill adjustment, since its been years.

Yet what I believe is really important, is for me to unmask those hidden behaviors that roll into a compulsive eating routine.

Good luck with your own journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
