Monthly loss amount

Recommended Posts

Hello I'm new to the forum and would like to ask what I should be losing a month. Yesterday was 1 month since surgery and I'm down about 14 lbs from surgery day. I'm definitely eating a ton less than I used to but I feel like I read that you should lose more monthly. Is this normal or any advice on what to do if it's not. Thank you guys

well its not the sprint of the weight loss as we all loose at different paces so the journey of the weight loss and a new way of thinking is more of what you are after there will be stalls and moments of pleasure and sadness stay focused on your journey and all will be well there is no real number of what you should loose per month or week or day congrats on your journey and welcome to the other side

I personally find it really toxic to compare my weight loss to others on this forum because we're all so different. I just get discouraged! That being said I'm losing about 10 pounds a month and am 6.5 months post gastric bypass. My team is pleased with my progress. Don't worry too much, just exercise and follow your team's plan for you, and you'll do fine.

It’s so hard not to compare, I can still put away food if I graze and I know that’s not using the tool we have so everyone will vary and our bodies all hold weight differently and out exercise levels etc. First month I assume is the best, then will get to find out normal. I’d be good with 10-14 per month but will have to see; so far 21 month 1 but don’t expect that every month as lush as it would be

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
