  • @Mikeyy No offense but I'm asking females only and I specified that in the title. I obviously understand about starting weight, BMI, etc. I was looking for motivation. I don't want to hear how

Well I'm 49 and I had GB March 23 2019 starting weight 274 now Im at 193 so it's coming off slow but steady, but I'm not exercising like I should either. All in all I'm happy with my loss and I'm sti

  • I'm 43 female. I started in February 2019 at 311 lbs. RNY on July 3, 2019 at 281 lbs. Currently, I'm down to 215 ? I exercise every day and I'm pretty good watching my calories, protein, and car

May 24th surgery....highest 216, day of survey 202....simply my rule is the highest number of all 3 has to be protein or I don't eat it. Keep sugars under 2 keep fat under 5 So then Protein has to be 6 or more..... So at present I am 5 months 1 week out and my height is 149 today. I have to be honest I am poor at the exercise because I am exhausted all the time between kids their activities and working. Good luck and your body will do the work you just have to follow your plan no cheating. Not to say it isn't tough. One day I put the kids Doritos on their plates just so I could lick my fingers. A pathetic moment but sooooo good

I had my surgery October 29 of last year. I’ve lost about 135 pounds, but it will definitely vary. My surgeon told me it would slow down some after about 6-7 months, as far as the rate of weight per week, and he was right. I lost about 80 pounds very quickly in the first 6 months, and my rate has slowed down a bit, but there really are many factors that can influence rate of loss. I have done a lot of weight bearing exercise, so I’m building muscle, so I can tel in certain weeks that I am losing more inches than perhaps pounds. Hang in there!

Panda333 I like that you just wanted to hear from women. We have such a different struggle than men. Well I'm 58 and had RNY surgery on 7/25/19. My start weight was 235 I'm at currently at 189.8. At first the weight came off quickly but has slowed down. I'm trying to get more calories in and I'm walking 4-5 times a week. Did my first 5k walkathon yesterday. I'm thinking about joining a zumba class so I'm getting closer everyday. I'm sending encouragement to you, Good Luck.

Surgery was 09Sep2019, I am 41. I started with the weight of 295, was 279 on surgery day and today I am 227.

Hi, I'm 48 and I'm down 61 lbs being just shy of 4 months out. I feel like the weight loss is pretty quick, but not as quick as others. I do cardio 4-5x a week for 30 min.

Try not to compare yourself to others and what they’ve lost. It’s different for each person. You’re doing well with your exercise. Just keep true to a good eating plan and you’ll continue to do well. You’re doing great!

Sleeved at age 41 weight 225 now 46 weighing 128 lbs.

I am 67. Am 5 1/2 months out and lost 60 pounds. I walk some but not as much as I should due to pain in my back. I also compare myself with others and I shouldn't. It is a slow pace. I lost 60 before my RNY and 60 after. That makes 120 pounds altogether since March.

I'm 44... will turn 45 in a few months. I had surgery on July 23rd. My starting weight was 234. Current weight is 164, so I've lost 70 lbs. which is hard for me to wrap my mind around. I'm in a size 10! I never thought I'd see that size again!!!

saw this post was revived and realized I am the original poster - go figure! lol. I am a 49 year old female was 48 at surgery.... I also have pcos and am a slow loser. I started at 307 and was 285 on the day of my surgery on 10/01/2019. Today I was 251. I'm happy with the loss but I know I'm much slower than most. I'm actually becoming more okay with the slow loss thanks to the support of this board. ?I should also add that I have not done any exercise other than walking so hopefully once I do some exercise that will help.

I had sleeve surgery (which failed due to a leak) in Sept '17. I was 365 before surgery - I lost 80 lbs. By the time I went for my bypass revision I was up to over 300 again. I had the bypass last year in February and I'm now down to 239. It's slow for me too... I have PCOS. I am perimenopausal. I have a lifetime of bad ways of eating to deal with, but I am losing and I intend on carrying on even if it's slow. Like Dory says... Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

Now if I falter, it's not the end of the world. I continue to analyse what I'm doing and make corrections.

I know that you posted this a while ago, but I hope this helps. It looks like you are doing an amazing job! Just keep swimming!

I am 43. Had RNY Aug 14,2019. I started at 240 and am now at 140. Surgery was totally worth it!!!!!!
