A family member had WLS a month and a half ago. He as well as others (me included) stepped on the scale only to find a weight gain. Then when told not to step on the scale every day and weigh only weekly did he find his weight loss to return. In a nutshell, nothing to worry about and if weighing everyday STOP and weigh weekly.

i agree do not weigh daily. I weigh weekly and it keeps your sanity. Good Luck on your journey and welcome to the losers bench.

:( You're probably just full of poop. :D Or water...work the plan hon. Weight loss isn't linear but one thing it IS? Frustrating. Weightloss is so frustrating. I feel your pain.

I only count my weight once a week on the same day. Continuously stepping on the scale may drive you crazy. I stepped on it one day between my regular weigh day and there was a 5lb difference. By the time it got to the actual day there was loss.

3 pounds is probably either Water or lack of bowel movement. Don't fret over it. Just stick with the program.

I am over 2 months post surgery and I have gained about 3 lbs. What is happening? Is this normal? I'm getting bummed

I don’t know if this will make sense to you but it worked for me.

I was not eating enough to gain weight on 600 calories a day, that is impossible. There were times I would step on the scale and the number would be a few pounds higher.

Logically I knew I had not gained weight. I changed my thinking and told myself, “I weigh more today for some unknown reason” I stopped thinking in terms of weight gain it was just fluctuations. I started weighing myself less frequently and only on mornings when I felt “lighter “. It really helped me and kept me sane.

Best of luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
