Once I could eat regular food, spicy was IN. I love spicy food - Indian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Thai! I eat it all with zero problem!

Same - as soon as I could have regular food I tried a bit at a time to see if I would tolerate it. I did have to sip a bit on Water when eating real spicy food but certainly wasn't drinking full on during a meal.

It took me a long time (maybe 6 months) before I could tolerate spicy food again. I still don't eat the level of spicy I could pre-op 😥

I am two months out and cannot tolerate spicy food, I used to love it! Hoping it gets better as time passes.

My team said spices were fine at 2 weeks but spicy had to wait until 3 months. I tried a little spicy right before three months and did fine but my tolerance has gone down so I’m still working my way back up!

As soon as I was cleared for regular food. I love spicy food, but since surgery I eat it in moderation.

A month after the op, I was eating lamb sag aloo, chilli con carne, chicken tikka masala, tandoori cod....no problem! As long as I stopped eating before I was full, my new baby tummy didn't mind!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
