So surgery is in 30 hours and I just got most of my bag packed and ready to go. I have these things:

*CPap

*chapstick

*deodorant

*travel sized toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, my biotene, and soap)

*eye mask, small Dove lotion tin

*A change of panties

*hairbrush and pony tail holders

I plan on leaving in the clothes I come in with. All in all, i have a small Supernatural backpack that I've fit everything in surprisingly lol except the CPAP lol some of the stuff I'm taking is the same stuff I leave in there anyway lol. I use it as a purse so it can serve 2 purposes. Anything I need, I need to fit in it. Way less **** to keep up with. Oh and my travel pillow will be waiting for me in the car :) anyone else got anything to add to this?

Congratulations on your accomplishments and I'm so happy for you. If you have a comfort item or if you like aromatherapy, that can be a nice touch. Like I will take my flameless candle whenever my time comes, candles are soothing to me and my aromatherapy spray. I need those 2 things to keep my anxiety at bay. Please let us know how you are doing.

Hey! So I'm not sure if I'm overpacking but I also packed pads (my nurse said women tend to get their menses from stress and the pads at the hospital are super uncomfortable), body wipes and feminine wipes.

you probably won't need Shampoo and soap. I didn't take a shower while I was there == and if you do, they should have soap there. Although I guess it never hurts to bring them just in case. Biotene might be helpful, though - I remember having a really dry mouth

Im super excited for you- please post an update as soon as you're up to it. My date is July 3, just about 2 weeks away, and I'm slowly starting to feel the anxiety/ excitement too.

I'll be spending 2 nights in the hospital, so I plan on taking my phone charger. Music always calms me so I'll also be bringing along my earbuds in my backpack. Other than that, our backpacks are pretty similar.

Good luck to you!

I recommend an extra long phone cord. I bought one the day before and was glad I did. Made me more mobile in bed.
I was allowed to shower so I also used my toiletries, brush, lotion, lip balm, a hair clip, AirPods and a cardigan. And really comfy clothes that double as pjs so I looked decent and felt good. The rest of the time I was sleeping or talking with med team.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
