Last visit to the nutritionist today!

Recommended Posts

I’m so excited... I went for my last visit to the nutritionist today and after loosing 9 1/2lbs in the past two weeks I’ve been cleared and all the pre testing papers are being submitted for a surgery date. I can’t wait. Any idea how long this process takes? (Medicate/united Healthcare insurance). I’m so excited for this journey!!!!!!!

I had Medicare through UHC and was approved the same day! They didn't waste time. However, my Dr office was slow and I waited 2 months, 1 week to have my surgery. Good luck!

every insurance is of course different and if all the posts here are any indication even the same insurance cant seem to do anything the same way twice. sometimes its the Ins. and some times the Doctors office messes up paperwork (and we know Ins. company live and die by the paperwork) so keep track of all deadlines and required forms and sign offs.

good luck and looking forward to your posts from the other side.

I would to know that one. I only had to a Nutrition class. I have Medicare AARP. They have said nothing about a liquid diet before. They did start exercise and drinking Water and changing our diet. They also their will be a 1wk clear liquid post-op then 1wk liquid and 2wk pureed. So I guess I will find out when I see the surgeon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
