Drank 10 oz of a protien shake!

I am 10 days post op and healing well. I've had an overall positive experience.

I am however really freaked out that I just drank about 10oz in 10 minutes. I wasn't paying attention and next thing I knew, it is was gone. I hope that I have restriction! I also hope I didn't harm myself. I have no discomfort whatsoever.

Has anyone experienced this?

I didnt feel that restriction I was looking for on clear or full liquids. You will get that feeling of restriction when you start puree and even more so with softs. Just be patient.

Don't worry. Your swelling has gone down and so liquids go down easy! Perfectly normal. Liquids won't stretch your pouch unless you're slamming them to the point of pain.

I just searched this because I had VSG Tuesday and have struggled with tightness when I tried eating/drinking anything, but just now realized i fairly quickly sucked down what was maybe 6 oz of protein shake and wondered if I was really going to regret it. No pain so far but I feel a little gurgling down there. It tasted good bc I was hungry and before I knew it, I drank 2-3x more than what had been “normal” since surgery. I was starting to panic myself a little that I was going to split my staples.

Yeah I was afraid of that too. But I am okay! And it's been a week or so!
