I’m about to loose my mind over here waiting to see if I will be approved or denied. My biggest concern is that I will be denied for the 2yr weight history requirement. Since I didn’t have insurance in 2017 I have no documentation of my weight, only for 2018. My advocate suggested I write a letter explaining why I don’t have documented weights for that year and submit pictures, I sent 3 with a letter. Everything else should qualify me.

3 month diet
Psych eval
Upper GI
sleep study
BMI 39.6 with High Blood Pressure

Talked to my advocate today and she said the coordinator will contact the insurance on Tuesday if they don’t hear anything before then. I have yet to talk to anyone at my insurance office trusting my surgeons to handle this. Do I call myself to check the status or just wait ?

I called my insurance. It was submitted and approved the same day. Personally I would call.

You can call and ask for the pre-authorization department. I called twice and found out a week before my doctors office e-mailed me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
