Hi everyone,

My surgery day was 4/15/19 and everything went well. Doctor told me it lasted 45 min and it was a clean surgery. However I had a reaction to the antibiotics (4) different kinds of them so I didn’t take (or was given) any during or after the procedure. First day post of

i felt this “hunger” pulling sensation coming from my stomach and I vomited old blood 3 times. I freaked out but my surgeon explained to me that was normal. Anyone else experience this?

I was lucky to go to the bathroom 2 days post op with any problems but today my need to go “really bad” woke me up at 5:30am I rushed to the toilet and had diarrhea. I am worried because some articles say this can mean a complication. So far it’s only been one it’s been about 25 min. I felt so weak that I had to sit instead of going back to bed. I just had 1 oz of Gatorade and I’m praying it stays in. Please let me know if you’ve experience this. Every little thing freaks me out!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
