Pre op liquid diet day 12

Recommended Posts

So I’m on day 12 of my pre op diet, 38 to go 😭 I’ve lost 13lbs and I’m hanging in there, but damn it’s not getting easier. Thought the hunger would pass after a few days but nah.. and I think about food every second of every day. I’ll follow my surgeons instructions no matter how hard it is, but please tell me the constant thoughts of food will fade slightly after surgery?

I’m excited to not feel the hunger as much but I’m definitely worried my addiction to food will bother me forever

Hang in there, it will get better. I felt the same but after surgery you get so full and now I have found healthy foods that I enjoy soooo much .. there are days where I’ll see certain foods and I’ll want it but then I’ll remember everything I’ve been through and also how unhealthy and miserable that food made me feel and I’ll simply stop wanting it .. but don’t worry you’re strong enough to over come any of the challenges, you got this!!

How long do they have you on liquid diet ??
Thank you💕 that gives me hope!
It’s 50 days. So a lot longer than most people on here I see, but I’m having it done in Norway and the whole process is a bit different

Yeah that’s super long, I only had to do a liquid diet the day before surgery and a low fat diet 2 weeks before surgery.. but ever surgeon is different and also everyone’s health ..

But hang in there, I know it must be super hard but you can and will overcome it.. later on after surgery when you start feeling healthy and good you’ll be so happy that you did everything you had to do.. this will show you some of the strengths you never even knew you had 💕

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
