STARVING PRE-OP

Recommended Posts

So my sleeve surgery is a day and a half away. Tuesday morning first thing in the morning. I have been on a liquid-only diet and I'm going crazy ! LOL around food I'm not always rational so I don't know if this feeling is because my body is hungry for food or if my mind is hungry for food. It makes me so scared that after the surgery I'm still going to be starving for food emotionally and mentally. I'm a bit scared

It helps prepare you mentally to make sure you can stick to the diet post op. So if you need to cheat a little then do so but just know its better not to cheat at all after your surgery or you risk complications.

Can anyone share to post a copy of their pre op diet menu since my surgeon says he doeznt require his pts to do one. My sleeve is in june since i had to wait 6 mts with this insurance. So anyway i would like to do a pre op liver shrinking cleanse and see if i can loose some weight. It would be a great help thnxxx

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
